Delete your CortexPM account
Last updated: 16 April 2026
This page explains how users of CortexPM (the app and web service) can ask Cortex Project Management Solutions Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”) to delete a user account and associated personal data. It applies whether you use CortexPM in a browser or through our mobile app.
How to request account deletion
To request deletion of your CortexPM user account and the personal information we hold about you in connection with that account, follow these steps:
- Send an email from the email address associated with your CortexPM login to legal@cortexpm.com.au.
- Use the subject line Account deletion request — CortexPM.
- In the body of the email, include your full name, the email address on the account, and (if applicable) your company or workspace name so we can locate your account.
- We may ask you to confirm your identity before we process the request (for example by replying from the registered email or providing other reasonable verification).
We will usually acknowledge your request within a few business days and respond within approximately 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law or the complexity of your request. If you sign in with a third-party provider (for example Google or Microsoft), you can also manage or revoke app access from that provider’s account settings; deleting data on our side still requires the process above.

You can also reach us at support@cortexpm.com.au or phone 0421 823 326 and ask for your request to be forwarded for account deletion. For general privacy rights (access, correction), see our Privacy Policy.
What we delete
After we verify your request and where no overriding legal obligation requires us to keep specific records, we will:
- Deactivate your CortexPM user account and remove or anonymise personal information tied to that account in our systems.
- Remove or anonymise personal data in user-generated content where it is reasonably practicable and consistent with our legal obligations.
What we may keep (and for how long)
Some information may be retained for limited periods or in a form that does not identify you:
- Legal, tax, and accounting records: We may retain certain billing, invoice, or transaction metadata for the period required by applicable law (often several years for tax and financial record-keeping in Australia).
- Aggregated or de-identified data: We may retain statistics or analytics that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
- Workspace or organisation data: If your account is part of a company workspace, some business records may need to remain with that organisation or be retained under contract or law; we will explain any limitation when we respond to your request.
- Backups: Residual copies in encrypted backups may persist for a limited time until those backups are rotated or overwritten.
Our general approach to retention is described in section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
